League of Legends to aid Red Cross in aftermath of earthquake
League of Legends and Riot Games will be offering a very special deal to donate to the Red Cross in the wake of the devastating earthquake that rocked Japan on March 11th.
The aftermath of this tragedy has left thousands dead, over ten thousand missing, and irrevocable damage all over the island nation.
Many great game companies and developers offered special sales or deals over the past weekend to offer aid to those suffering in Japan, and now League of Legends is getting in on the effort.
All sales of Akali - and the Nurse Akali outfit, cosplayed by the amazing Faye Mata at PAX East 2011 - will be donated to the Red Cross to help those in need.
This offer gets even better, as Akali and the special skin will both be 50% off for the occasion. Obviously Riot can't donate IP, so make sure if you're picking Akali up to do it with RP! The offer will last until 12 pm PDT on Sunday, March 27th.
So grab one of the League of Legends ninja team and a great outfit to go with it, and get your game on while helping Japan in this time of need.
