Gamigo has sent us an interview they did with their Fiesta Online Project Manager. "The game has really changed a lot in the past 5 years.

The last special quests for Fiesta Online's 5th birthday have just been completed. Now, we have taken the time to look back on the last couple of years.

We have talked with the responsible Project Manager and asked him about his personal highlights. You can read about his experiences below:

Q: What makes Fiesta so special?

A: Without a doubt the most special thing about Fiesta is the community. In online"role-playing games it’s really hard to find so many genuinely friendly players in"one place. New players are always made to feel very welcome and offered so"much help by the existing community and for me that’s very rare and special."If I had to pick out one in-game feature, I would choose the Kingdom Quests. You
can’t succeed when you try these quests alone. So you need to team up with up"to 15 players, coordinate your attacks, and help each other. I think it's very"unique and one of the players’ favorite features.

Q: What is the biggest difference for you today compared to the beginning?

A: I think the biggest change was when the American community joined us and we"became one global community in Fiesta. Not only has this let us interact with such"a large variety of people from all over the world, but it’s also given us the chance"to make some really fun events for the players that were impossible before this."When it comes to producing, we have become a lot faster in developing new
features. We needed 4 months of testing for the Joker class, whereas the new"Crusader class was ready for launch after 6 weeks! And we are already really"looking forward to delivering the next big update to the players!

Q: To what extent has the game changed? What was the biggest change?

A: Since I first saw Fiesta I think almost everything has changed by now. The most"significant changes recently though have been the extension of the high level area"up to Adelia and the two new classes we added, one last year and another this"year. While the anime graphics are timeless and haven’t changed much, the"animation quality of new content and the model and texture complexity of new
resources have improved a lot over time. It’s a real challenge to beat the newest"boss monster, even if you’ve been playing right from the beginning!

Q: What’s your personal highlight from the past few years?

A: My personal highlight was seeing the players I've come to know changing over the"years, not just as characters, but as people. Players I talked with during the"closed beta have finished school, got jobs, got married, and had children; and"they still play Fiesta!

Q: What is the most unusual thing that has happened - be it in the game or"within the community?

A: The most unusual thing for me was seeing a bug become a feature. When one of"our Halloween costumes was delivered without graphics the result was a terrifying"floating head with no body. When the costume was fixed we also added a second""Invisible" costume based on the bug which proved to be more popular than the"actual costume!

Q: Has the behavior of gamers changed with the years? If so, in what way?

A: Players have definitely become a lot wiser over the years. With so many games"out there, people know what they like and what they can expect from a game. We"work really hard to try and fulfill our players’ expectations and keep the game"enjoyable for them.

Q: What do you wish yourself for the next five years of Fiesta?

A: To be honest, I wish for things to continue as they have they have been for the"last 5 years. Working closely with our developer that is both hard working and"enthusiastic about the future of the game to improve the game even further and"provide a fun gaming and social experience for all our existing and future players.
