BasketDudes nominated to the Unity Awards 2011 in 3 different categories.
August 30th, 2011. After its launch on June 15th of this year and winning the Best Online Game Award in the Interactive Entertainment and Videogames Festival Gamelab 2011, BasketDudes has been nominated to the Unity Awards at the Unite 11 in three different categories: ‘Community Choice’, ‘Gameplay’ and" ‘Grand Prix’.
BasketDudes, the first MMO and Free-to-Play game developed by Bitoon Games, has been nominated to the Unity Awards, the annual recognition to the best Unity projects. ‘Unite' 11 will bring together professionals from several disciplines interested in developing Unity content. The event will take place at the Nob Hill Masonic Centre in San Francisco and the winner will be announced at the Annual Awards ceremony on Thursday, September 29th.
Bitoon's game will compete in three of the seven categories including ‘Community Choice', ‘Gameplay' and ‘Grand Prix', people will be able to vote for the ‘Community Choice Award' at http://unity3d.com/awards/ to choose the best game developed using Unity.
BasketDudes is published in Spanish and English and available for both MAC and PC. It allows users from all over the world to compete online in real time. With a wide range of game mechanics, it combines 3D action sports gameplay, reminiscent of instant arcade classics, with enriching strategic components found in trading card games, as well as virtual items to improve gameplay and level-up your team and each player individually. This cared 3D visual style and the original RPG features and customization possibilities, has made BasketDudes becoming a key reference in the Spanish videogame industry as a Free2Play game, just on its very first months of life.
BasketDudes will publish a lot of news and improvements during this Fall season, and Bitoon's studio is already working on its second title, also a Free2Play MMO based on Unity 3D motor.
