Leading online games studio to publish the engaging children's virtual world, Herotopia

CAMBRIDGE, UK-10^th May 2011 – Jagex Games Studio, the UK's largest independent games company behind the world's most popular multiplayer game RuneScape, today announced that they have entered into a world-wide partnership with Herotainment, a New York-based children's media company, to publish Herotopia, the award-winning social online game for children.

Recipient of the prestigious Gold Award for excellence in video games from the National Parenting Publication Awards (NAPPA), Herotopia is a new browser based multiplayer online game and community where children become their own superheroes and explore real and fantasy locations around the world." Herotopia offers an engaging and entertaining environment where players can complete thrilling quests, make new friends, build their own secret hideout and show off their newfound superpowers.

Herotopia marks the second third-party game joining Jagex's established portfolio of over 40 free-to-play games, and the first time that Jagex will launch a game targeted towards children.
