Hi-Rez Studios Unveils Next God Planned For SMITE

ATLANTA – May 10, 2011. Today, Hi-Rez Studios revealed that the next playable god within SMITE will be Odin, ruler of Asgard and the father god of Norse mythology. In addition to the character card, Hi-Rez Studios has released a detailed render of the Odin 3D character model.

As announced last month, SMITE is a DoTA-inspired multiplayer online battleground game between mythical gods. SMITE differs from traditional Defense of The Ancients style games because it uses a 3rd person camera rather than the top down view common to RTS games. SMITE also incorporates very action-oriented combat mechanics and advanced visuals enabled by the Unreal 3 engine.
